Neues iPhone 3G zum greifen nah und doch so fern
Als das neue iPhone 3G vorgestellt wurde war ich der Überzeugung, nun nachdem die Technik mit der Integration von UMTS und A-GPS komplett ist, endlich zuschlagen zu können. Doch es ist letztendlich genau das eingetreten was ich erwartet habe. Unsere liebe Teledumm weiß wie man das iPhone zum zweiten Mal in Deutschland floppen lässt bietet einfach wieder ein lächerliches Tarifangebot.

Basketball Bundesliga-Pläne: USC Leipzig läd zu Regionalliga-Tryouts
Nach dem Aufstieg in die 1. Regionalliga wollen sich die Leipziger Basketballer des Universitätssportclubs (USC) in einem offenen Tryout mit frischen Spielern für die kommende Saison verstärken. Nicht nur neue Spieler sondern auch ein neuer Cheftrainer wird gesucht. Neben Dominik Braun als Assistenztrainer ist die Rede vom gebürtigen New Yorker und Ex-ALBA-Spieler Wendell Alexis sowie Angel Mallona Narváez für den Posten des Cheftrainers.
Termine des Tryouts:
Angesprochen werden alle Basketballer, die Potenzial für die 1. Regionalliga Herren haben. Eine Anmeldung zum Tryout ist nicht notwendig!

After a surprisingly fast 4 games to 1 for LA the Lakers win the Western Conference Finals and head on to the NBA Playoff Finals 2008. At the same time the Boston Celtics keep fighting the Detroit Pistons and have a 3-2 lead. My prediction for the upcoming finals is the Lakers vs. Boston. Eurosport-Umfrage: Hilf Basketball im TV zu pushen!
Als Basketballfreunde sollten wir hier auch mal abseits des Spielfeldes unser Bestes geben um unsere Sportart neben Fussball im TV zu etablieren. Derzeit steht es auch schon sehr gut in der Auswertung. Doch sollten wir alle mithelfen dieses Ergebnis noch deutlicher zu machen!

You might have ran into the same problem. The scrollball of Apple’s Mighty Mouse does not respond as well as it did before when you used the mouse for several month already. Today I had enough of rubbing the ball with a moist or dry cloth or doing some crazy experiments with tape or what ever you may find on the net to make this go away… I just wanted to hurt this little m…..f…… ]:)
Before you read on or even do the same to your mouse as I did keep in mind: the grey ring from the bottom of the mouse that has to be removed will break with a chance of something around 100% – there might even happen worse things when you are not carefull with the tools – but after the operation is complete – your mouseball will scroll as it did on day one. Basically it is a simple cleaning of parts but Apple wanted to give us a hard time getting this done. In case you have to redo the entire session, the grey ring is already removed and things will go much faster.
By the way – you do this at your own risk! I will not get you a new mouse in case you screw up yours :)
Now, what I did was crack the mouse open with a knife. To do so you just need to drive a knife/screwdriver (carefully!!! do not cut yourself or the internals of the mouse) between the grey “ring” and the side buttons of your mouse. The ring is clotted to the upper case of the mouse, so you have to crack it apart by carefully tilting the blade.
Once the ring is removed (even if it breaks as it did in my case) enter the mouse with the screwdriver at the rear end at the left then at the right and open it. There are two plastic studs – one on every side that are only clicked in the bottom part of the mouse and will release it pretty easily.

Dirk Nowitzki hat den direkten Einstieg wieder verpasst
Wie du sicher schon gelesen hast, war es Dirk nicht vergönnt den direkten Sprung ins NBA All Star Game 2008 zu schaffen. Nachdem er es schon im vergangenen Jahr nicht schaffte ist das doppelt ärgerlich.
Es votierten lediglich ca. 1,2 Mio. Fans für ihn was ihm einen undankbaren 3. Platz hinter Carmelo Anthony und Tim Duncan auf der Forward-Position einbrachte. Allerdings mit einer Stimmendifferenz von ca. 500.000 auch ein deutlicher 3. Platz.
Heute, am 31. Januar entscheiden die All Star Game 2008-Coaches über ihre Ersatzspieler und Dirk muss einfach ins Roster rutschen! Immerhin war er 2007 sogar zum MVP gewählt worden. Ich drücke ihm auf jeden Fall die Daumen um ihn dann am Sonntag den 17. Februar sein Bestes geben zu sehen.
Update:
Wie erwartet wurde Dirk vom Coach der West All Stars als Ersatzmann in den Kader berufen. Bis zum All Star Game 2008, welches übrigens schon das 57. seiner Art in der NBA ist, gilt es weiter in der regulären Saison am Ball zu bleiben. Das hochspannende Spiel gegen Boston ging leider mit 96:90 an die Celtics welche unter anderem mit dem nun endlich “glücklichen” Ex-Timberwolve Kevin Garnett auflaufen. Beobachter der Szene wissen von was ich rede :)
