Warum im Sommer nicht mal etwas Neues probieren?
Als Snowboarder mit akutem Board-Entzug – dem miesen Winter 2006/2007 sei Dank :-( – hab ich beschlossen, dass dieses Jahr noch irgend etwas auf dem Brett passieren muss.
Kiteboarding. Ja ich will mich an nen Schirm hängen und mit dem Wind übers Wasser brettern. Natürlich gibts dazu auch gleich einen ganzen Haufen Videos. Das meiner Meinung nach Beste hab ich am Ende des Posts eingebettet.
Für mich sieht das nach jeder Menge Spaß und Aktion aus und wie ich gehört habe lässt sich nicht nur auf dem Wasser kite-boarden sondern auch an Land auf Rädern oder im Schnee! Ja genau Schnee(!!!), aber wer will schon Schnee und Kälte wenn er Sonne, Sand und Surfen haben kann?
Mein Tipp für den Sommer – schaut euch mal um und gebt euch diesen Spaß!

Male Practice Players in Womens Basketball Programs
CBS reported on this technique used by many womens basketball coaches. As it it common sense that playing bigger, better, stronger and quicker opponents can improve ones game by a lot this is used in practice at colleges all over the US and the results convice more and more coaches to use this technique with their teams as well.
I’m not sure whether this method is already used by womens/girls teams in Europe esp. Germany but maybe we should also give it a try and check the results.

NBA.com Widgets for everyone
Not long ago nba.com started providing widgets also known as gadgets by the win-world. At the moment you can choose between a scoreboard, player file and two allstar galleries. You can see the player file here and on the bottom right in my sidebar the scoreboard. Just grab it from here or find it on http://www.nba.com/widgets/
The only thing missing is that links should open a new tab in your browser. Currently the NBA content pages open right on top of the blog site after clicking the widget… ;-(

No commentsEndlich (Handball-)Weltmeister und die Party geht weiter…
… wer hätte das gedach? Als Nicht-Handballer ist es schon beeindruckend was da im eigenen Land für eine Party losgeht. Sogar die Handball-Wikipedia-Seite ist schon aktualisiert – die Jungs sind gut! Nervenkitzel pur! Mal sehen ob es mit dem Handball wieder mal etwas aufwärts geht und mehr Präsenz im Fernsehen erkämpft werden kann.
Das Ganze stimmt mich auch etwas zuversichtlich und ich hoffe, dass nachdem die Basketball-WM der Frauen 1998 in Deutschland stattfand auch einmal die der Männer zu uns findet. Immerhin waren wir in 2002 in Indianapolis schon mal auf dem Treppchen und Dirk wure sogar zum MVP gewählt.
So nun aber zum nächsten Thema: Heute Nacht ist SuperBowl! Ein Muss für den gepflegten Actionfan. Bin gespannt auf die Show! Also Streichhölzer bereit legen, nochmal die Technik checken und morgen hart sein!
