Too Cool for Internet Explorer

Play, enjoy and spread our game!

The same procedure as last year…

… or the year before last year?
Everybody remembers the Pacers vs. Pistons brawl of 2004 after Ron Artest’s foul on Ben Wallace. One should expect people learned from the terrible incident where not only players but also fans and security were involved and hurt. This damaged the image of NBA basketball greatly and actions were taken to prevent this in the future.

On December 16th 2006 in the Nuggets vs. Knicks game everything came back and we saw the ugliest scene since the brawl between Pacers players and Detroit fans in 2004. A foul, some pushing and suddenly things started to escalate. Result: 10 players ejected, fines and players sitting out the next few games.
Obviously the fans kept cool even though their team was down by 19 at that time.

Experts think players have to learn from these incidents. Ok that sounds reasonable BUT there are 26 more NBA teams who hopefully won’t get into a fight on court just to learn from it!

For all who thought it could not come worse… it got worse. The worst thing? The game did not even start before the fight.
On December 6th 2006 six people were injured during a wild brawl before the ULEB Cup basketball game between Red Star Belgrade and PAOK Thessaloniki. Fans of the Red Star rival Partizan Belgrade came to support the visiting greek team and trouble was predetermined.

What will be next?
